財政司司長曾蔭權在三月七日發表任內最後一份財政預算案。香港大學民意研究計劃於發表當日及翌日就市民對今年財政預算案的即時反應進行了電話訪問調查。是次調查的結果己在《港大民意網站》發放，並載有過去數年的數據以作比較。此外，有關陳方安生及曾蔭權評分調查的最新結果亦於網上同時公佈。各界人士如對上述調查的研究方法有任何疑問，研究組的成員將會樂意解答，但不會對調查結果另作評述。此等安排將會在研究組的人手充裕後再作檢討。

The Financial Secretary, Mr. Donald Tsang, has announced his last Budget on 7 March 2001. In order to capture the public's instant reaction towards this Budget, the Public Opinion Programme at The University of Hong Kong has conducted a telephone survey during 7-8 March. Aligned with the findings of previous years, POP's website, called the "HKU POP SITE" at http://hkupop.hku.hk, now carries the results of this instant poll. The same website has also carried the latest popularity ratings of Anson Chan and Donald Tsang.　 Our research team would be pleased to answer any question regarding the research design of these surveys, but would not comment on the result of these surveys. Such an arrangement would be reviewed when we have more resources.
